Lists, Lists and more lists!

I started our Christmas list today.  I finished the grocery list for next week.  I have a mental list daily of all the things I want to get done (and so rarely finish) and then there is the odds and ends list.  The one that seems to never be finished and is always growing.

These pieces of paper and mental notes keep me focused.  I need them to get things done in this crazy time called motherhood.  Without them I would be lost, confused and utterly stranded as to how to live my life.  

The Christmas list was a must this year.  I am making all of our gifts and need to get started early.  I'm really excited to get started and want to share all my ideas but...my family sometimes stops by and reads my ramblings and I don't want to spoil the surprise.  

I realized as I started the list today there were many people I wanted to gift this year.  MANY PEOPLE!!!!  I also realized how fortunate that makes me.  I have a wonderful circle of friends and they are all cherished by me.  

So, with the coming days til Christmas I am sure I will be making more lists.  Filled with ideas, supplies, to-dos and what nots but this first list of my day today showed me what is really important.  The people who have filled my world with love, safety, and joy.  

I hope as the months of this year come to an end you all are able to have a list like mine.  

As a complete extra...I think I finished our Christmas card tonight!
