So many people are talking about Project 365. Some use the phrase while talking about reading the bible, others when it comes to their health and yet others are talking about Photography.
This last year I threw in the towel. I just gave up. I quit the photography business and we put KrazyBird on the back burner for now. Between moving, raising a baby, helping with my family and just trying to adjust to many changes I lost my drive. I lost my passion. I forgot how much I enjoyed taking pictures amongst the nonsense of trying to make money doing it.
I believe I need to recapture that passion. I need to rediscover what I loved about being behind the lens and get back to that point. It's not about paying the bills, finding the clients, making said (often bitchy) clients happy and then being happy with the images yourself. It's about me, a camera, a lens I love and my heart. My creative bit that lets me be different from others.
I need to take pictures of dirt, rocks, leaves, my baby girl and her cat. I need to photograph my feet with chippy polish and the snow frozen on fence posts. I need to redefine what is art...what I love!
So...Photo Challenge 365 is what is going to get me there...or not. Either way I'm going to spend the next 365 days getting reacquainted with my Sony alpha 700. I'm not going to invest in new equipment. I'm going to use my two trusty lens and photograph my life.
I'm also going to document my journey here. Along with the pictures will be all the other bits and ramblings that seem to find there way to this page and hopefully I'll find my spirit again along the way.
