Well we went too early. The pretty tulips were in hiding still and the weather was gray. We decided to go straight to Roozengaard this year to avoid searching and searching for tulips.
We arrived, parked right away, got into the gardens and found...NO TULIPS!
It wasn't too surprising since the weather has been awful lately. Rain, snow, ice, sun, rain, ice storm, snow and did I say rain?
We did find plenty of daffodils. I must say this is one of my favorite flowers. I love their stately trumpets and bright, look at me, yellow. They have those pretty orange centers and they just make me smile!

Evie really enjoyed the flowers too...
I have gone to the festival for many years and spent most of my time taking pictures of the flowers...hundreds of pictures of the flowers. This year, I took a few pictures of flowers...
But I took more of this sweet thing...
Overall it was a great day. Evie did really well being in the car so long. We found flowers and didn't get rained on or fall in any mud puddles...much!
